Micha & Jannynke are a couple from Holland who wanted a South African safari wedding, and for the setting they chose Shamwari in the Eastern Cape.
Their safari wedding consisted of just the two of them and the South African bush as a witness. The very intimate wedding ceremony which was held overlooking the most beautiful vista was followed by a game drive. The game drive culminated with a sunset cake cutting and a glass of champagne for good measure. For their wedding photos I wanted to capture the wide open landscape and the endless African sky, using rich colours to bring it all to life. The sky played along by providing the clouds while the sunset joined the wedding party with beautiful shades of red and orange.
I also wanted to try and include the two of them into their environment as much as possible rather than have them stand out too much in every shot. It was a very romantic and beautiful safari wedding and the photos below speak for themselves. If you are considering a wedding in the Eastern Cape I can highly recommend Shamwari, particularly if you want a genuine African bush experience. I hope the memories last a lifetime guys, and thank you for letting us share in your magical African safari wedding with you.
